OUR SCHOOL FAMILY
There are many dedicated professionals who make everything at
St. Mary’s come together in both a successful school environment
and a second family to our students. Meet them here…
|
As principal, and in cooperation with the Pastor and Diocesan
Schools Office, Mrs. Denise Tucker is responsible for the
educational program of the school. She serves a three-fold role
as servant-leader, administrator and educational leader. She is
the chief administrator of the school and is a member of the
parish staff.
Mrs. Tucker holds a B.S. in Education in Special Education and
Elementary Education; she also has a M.Ed. degree in
Administration. Mrs. Tucker began her career teaching gifted
learning disabled students in Chevy Chase, Maryland; then two
years at a private school in Washington, D.C.
She served
as a Math and Science Coordinator and teacher for junior
high and high school students who were learning
disabled, emotionally disabled, and/or developmentally
disabled. After marriage, Mrs. Tucker moved with her new
army husband, Mike, to Rome, New
York where she was responsible for the operation of the
Communication and Travel Training Classroom at the Jefferson
Rehabilitation Center. When their family was assigned to Fort
Campbell, Kentucky Mrs. Tucker taught at Norman Smith
Elementary School in Clarksville where she was twice a
member of the SACS accreditation team. She has been
principal at St. Mary’s since it’s opening in August of
2000.
Mrs. Tucker is a graduate of Leadership Clarksville, serves on
the Roxy Theatre board of directors, and is a member of ASCD
(Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development). She
has also completed the course in Deployment CREW (Coping,
Resilience, Education and Well Being) through Fort Campbell.
Mr. and Mrs. Tucker are the proud parents of Lauren and
Alexandra.. |

We are richly blessed with outstanding teachers at St. Mary’s.
With a combined 112 years of teaching experience and 4 advanced
degrees, their dedication, commitment and excellence are second
to none. Our teachers maintain a standard of excellence in
academics while at the same time serving as Christian mentors to
our children. This combination provides the perfect environment
for Christian child development – academically, spiritually,
